My brother recently started playing Command and Conquer. I wanted to play with him, and found OpenRA.

OpenRA is a FOSS implementation of the CnC engine (including other games, like Dune 2000). It runs on macOS, Linux, and Windows. There are also lots of fun enhancements, like the Combined Arms mod.

I never played Command and Conquer (I was more of a WarCraft / StarCraft player), but it's fun to play this with folks over LAN or the web. I recommend you check it out. Email me if you want to play together some time.
